Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA)
The TRCA administers the interim use programme for the Spit and Tommy Thompson Park (the name given to the portion of the Spit under control of the TRCA).
Toronto Ornithological Club (TOC)
The TOC frequently has birding hikes on the Spit.
Toronto Field Naturalists (TFN)
The TFN also frequently has nature hikes on the Spit.
Ontario Field Ornithologists (OFO)
Similarly, OFO has birding hikes on the Spit.
Waterfront Toronto (formerly the Toronto Waterfront Revitalization Corporation)
The corporation charged with the overall planning of Toronto’s waterfront, including the Portlands and Lake Ontario Park. Lake Ontario Park includes the Spit and Baselands. The corporation is a municipal, provincial and federal creation. Check this site for the progress of the Lake Ontario Park Master Plan.
